DSC_0097-2 Bill & Larry, Mac & Tasha

On February 14, 2018, we (Larry and Bill) celebrated our 47th anniversary of being together and have been married since 2008. In 2006, we were first-time RV’ers when we purchased our custom-ordered 23′ 2007 Airstream Safari and the 2006 F-250 Super Duty diesel truck.  Our tan and white corgi Mac passed on August 28, 2017 and we sold our Airstream trailer on September 21, 2017. Our F-250 has been replaced with a 2018 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Limited.  Larry, a retired pediatric Occupational Therapist, and I, a retired RN, and our corgi Tasha enjoy visiting and adventuring in San Diego’s wonderful places. I have been thriving as a volunteer in Surgery Waiting in Kaiser Permanente San Diego Medical Center since January 29, 2018.  We rescued and adopted a 2-week old orange tabby kitten on October 4, 2018.

In 2008, I started posting about our adventures with our Airstream Safari on my first blog, History Safari Express, which is currently still in place as a knowledge-sharing resource for other Airstream owners and/or enthusiasts.

This blog, History Safari Expresso, features my best photos of our experiences camping with our Airstream trailer, as well as new information and photos, while celebrating life, seasonal events, gardens, flowers, meditations and history along the way.  Besides providing interesting photos and information, the blog postings here provide links to additional information that is intended to enhance the viewers understanding and experience. Some of the links are to videos (usually asterisked) that are carefully selected for being interesting and supportive to my posts’ themes.

It is my hope that this blog will be an informative and enriching experience, much like a rich cup of coffee and a good book.
